Description

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, this air fryer gold baked potato is the perfect easy side dish. Using an air fryer, you get a perfectly baked potato with a golden, crispy skin in less time than a traditional oven.

Ingredients

2 medium gold potatoes (about 6-7 ounces each), washed and dried
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Pierce each gold potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
Rub each potato evenly with olive oil, ensuring the entire skin is coated.
Sprinkle kosher salt evenly over the potatoes, rubbing it into the skin.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
Cook the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for 35 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping.
Check doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part of the potato; it should slide in easily.
Remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
