Description

A simple and delicious vegan flatbread made with basic pantry ingredients. Perfect as a side, for wraps, or as a base for your favorite toppings.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil


Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients.
Stir with a spoon until a rough dough forms.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Using a rolling pin, roll each ball into a flat circle about 1/8 inch thick.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Place one flatbread in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form and the underside is golden brown.
Flip the flatbread and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
Repeat with the remaining flatbreads, adjusting the heat as needed to prevent burning.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
