Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate muffin mix
1/2 cup whole milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease the cups.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate muffin mix, whole milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the batter and fold in carefully until smooth.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips and chopped walnuts evenly throughout the batter.
Divide the batter evenly among the 12 muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Remove the muffins from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
