Description

A quick and easy recipe for crispy, flavorful tilapia fillets cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

4 tilapia fillets, about 4 ounces each, patted dry
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
In a separate shallow bowl, beat the two eggs until smooth.
Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
Coat each tilapia fillet first in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Dip the fillets into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
Press the fillets into the panko breadcrumbs, coating both sides evenly.
Lightly brush or spray both sides of each breaded fillet with olive oil to help them crisp up in the air fryer.
Place the fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
Cook the tilapia fillets at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the coating is golden brown and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the fillets from the air fryer and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
