Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
24 ounces marinara sauce
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a medium bowl, combine the marinara sauce, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
Pour the marinara sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Carefully remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and place them on a serving platter.
Stir the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil into the sauce in the slow cooker.
Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts before serving.
Serve hot with your choice of pasta, rice, or vegetables.
