Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir until well mixed.
Add the granulated sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture. Stir until combined.
Sprinkle the baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt over the wet ingredients. Mix well.
Add the all-purpose flour to the bowl and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove the banana bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Once cooled, wrap the banana bread in parchment paper and tie with a ribbon to prepare for gifting.
